  • The Makunduchi Project is expanding! We will soon be taking on a second hospital in Zanzibar called Kivunge. As a result we are changing our name to HIPZ - Health Improvement Project Zanzibar.

    We are currently designing and building a new web site to reflect this change...

  • I’m the new HIPZ doctor working in Makunduchi and have been suitably impressed with the hospital during my first two weeks.

  • HIPZ was nominated as one of the charities to meet Prince Charles during his recent visit to the island on Tuesday 8th November.

    One of our doctors, Nick Campain, spoke to the Prince about our project and attended the Gala Dinner in the evening.
